David Miskin is a global creative executive, brand creator and executive advisor whose work shapes how businesses are seen, experienced and remembered. For more than 25 years, he has guided some of the world’s most recognized brands, public figures and Fortune 100 companies, bringing a distinctive creative perspective to luxury, hospitality, real estate, retail and entertainment. His work spans the creation of new brands, the reinvention of established businesses and the development of places with a character of their own.

Based in Tokyo, David serves as Chief Creative Officer and advisor to Kasumigaseki Capital. He helped establish FHG Hotels and shape the creative direction and brand architecture of its hospitality portfolio, with work across seven x seven, edit x seven, studio x seven, FAV and FAV LUX. Working with leadership, development teams and specialist partners, he brings brand strategy and creative direction into the development process, influencing both what a project stands for and how it is experienced.

David is the creator of seven x seven, a hotel brand that offers a new take on luxury. Built around self hospitality, a concept developed by FHG, it moves beyond traditional conventions to place freedom, individuality and control at the centre of the guest experience. Thoughtful design, intuitive technology and considered spaces empower guests to shape their stay around their own rhythm. David established the brand’s original vision and creative system, connecting positioning and identity with design direction, guest experience and operational thinking. His involvement reaches across rooms and suites, amenities, uniforms, food and beverage, retail, campaigns and partnerships, working alongside appointed architects, interior designers and hospitality teams.

The brand’s first properties in Itoshima and Ishigaki demonstrate how that vision adapts to different settings, from a coastal retreat to a resort with dining, wellness and social experiences. Its development extends to destinations including Yufuin, Miyakojima and Ginza. David’s work on edit x seven carries the philosophy into a distinct offering with its own identity and relationship to place, expressed through properties in Gotemba and Shodoshima. seven x seven received Gold in Branding Systems at the Graphis Design 2026 Awards, while seven x seven Ishigaki was named one of the 10 Best Hotels in Japan at the Luxury Japan Award 2025.

His executive experience includes CEO of Cultural Assets at Iris Worldwide North America, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Creative Officer of The Lightstone Group, and Vice President of Creative and Brand Strategy at GGP / Brookfield. These roles span international brand initiatives, hospitality and real estate development, and major retail and mixed use destinations. They inform his ability to lead creative teams, work with senior decision makers and connect design choices with the wider direction of an organization.

Across his career and independent advisory work, David has worked with brands including Automobili Lamborghini, Marriott, Kraft Heinz, WeWork, ABC Carpet & Home, NBC Universal, Samsung and Starbucks. His experience encompasses brand strategy, experiential creative direction, retail environments, digital experiences and communications, bringing a consistent standard of creative judgment to very different businesses and audiences.

His work also extends into culture, community and sport. He hosted the Tokyo Weekender 55th Anniversary celebration in partnership with the World Monuments Fund and supports initiatives including seven x seven Racing and the Sendai 89ERS basketball team. These projects reflect an interest in how brands participate in people’s lives through shared experiences, cultural relevance and a sense of belonging.

David’s ambition is to create work with a recognizable point of view and lasting commercial value. Whether creating a hospitality concept, rethinking a customer experience or advising an established brand, he brings the same conviction: a strong idea should be evident in every detail, from the first impression to the experience that stays with someone.
