David is the creator of seven x seven, a brand that introduced the concept of self hospitality, a bold new approach to personalized, independent luxury. In 2024, the brand debuted its first two flagship resorts in Ishigaki and Itoshima, setting a new benchmark in modern hospitality. With additional destinations in development including Yufuin, Miyako jima, and Ginza, seven x seven continues to expand its presence as a next generation hospitality brand rooted in freedom, design, and guest empowerment. On September 1, 2025, edit x seven was launched, the brand’s first sub brand, in Gotemba. Designed as a sharper, urban lifestyle driven expression of the self hospitality model, edit x seven extends the philosophy beyond resorts and into city centric stays.

In 2025, seven x seven was honored with the Top 10 Japan Luxury Award, reinforcing its position as a pioneer in next generation travel. With six additional properties currently underway, David continues to oversee every facet of the brand, from conceptual design and strategic marketing to operational execution, while redefining the global conversation around luxury and independence in hospitality. Through these initiatives, he is cementing seven x seven as the category creator of self hospitality.

As part of his ongoing work to connect culture, hospitality, and community, David will serve as a presenter at the Tokyo Weekender 55th Anniversary celebration. The milestone project features a special exhibition, a black tie charity gala, and the TW Icon Awards curated by SUPER, with the World Monuments Fund as the charity partner. With FHG (FAV Hospitality Group) as the main sponsor, the initiative highlights culture, diversity, and the preservation of Japan’s heritage, underscoring David’s commitment to keeping cultural stories alive for future generations. Extending this vision beyond hospitality, David is also involved in cultural and lifestyle ventures including seven x seven Racing and the Sendai 89ERS basketball team, expanding the brand’s influence into sports, entertainment, and community engagement.
