David is the creator of seven x seven, a hospitality brand built around the concept of self hospitality, a philosophy that places control, comfort, and personal rhythm back into the hands of the guest. Designed as an alternative to traditional luxury models, seven x seven prioritizes freedom, individuality, and intuitive design. The brand debuted its first flagship resorts in Ishigaki and Itoshima in 2024, with additional destinations currently in development including Yufuin, Miyakojima, and Ginza.

In 2025, edit x seven launched as the first sub brand within the seven x seven ecosystem, offering a sharper, urban, lifestyle driven expression of the self hospitality philosophy. The debut location opened in Gotemba, with a second property scheduled to open in Shodoshima in January 2026.

In 2025, seven x seven was recognized with the Top 10 Japan Luxury Award in hospitality, reinforcing its position as a category creator in next generation travel. With multiple properties underway, David remains closely involved across every aspect of the brand, from conceptual design and strategic marketing to operational execution.

Beyond hospitality, David remains committed to projects that connect culture, community, and creativity. In December, he served as host of the Tokyo Weekender 55th Anniversary celebration in partnership with the World Monuments Fund, a milestone cultural event honoring creativity, community, and the preservation of global heritage. He is also involved in broader cultural and lifestyle ventures, including seven x seven Racing and the Sendai 89ERS basketball team. Across all his work, David continues to focus on building brands that feel human, relevant, and enduring.
